light emanating from the sun

not visible to the eye, but you feel it as heat penetrating into your skin

What is far infrared?

Far infrared are invisible waves of energy that have the ability to penetrate all layers of the human physical body, going into the inner-most regions of the tissues, muscles and bone. It is part of the spectrum of light emanating from the sun but without the harmful effects of UV, you feel it as heat penetrating into your skin. It is the same form of heat emitted by your own body. Far infrared light and its therapeutic properties have been studied in China and Japan for over 30 years and is now beginning to become very popular around the world.

Why far infrared heat?

Far infrared heat differs from other conventional heat in that the heat warms the body, not the air - providing for a breathable efficient yoga practice. It creates a more sterile environment, where it is less likely to spread and cultivate bacteria in the air. Far infrared helps you relax while receiving an invigorating deep tissue sweat, leaving you fully refreshed after each practice. It deeply detoxifies your body for improved functioning of all of the major organs. This detoxification is on the deepest level, allowing hidden toxins in the blood and tissue to be dissolved or immobilized.

How does it benefit you?

Far infrared expands capillaries which stimulates increased blood flow, regeneration, circulation and oxygen. It also maintains and promotes healthy lung function as well as fats, chemicals and toxins elimination from the blood caused by heavy metals (carcinogenic substances). The skin releases toxins by sweating, leaving it glowing and immaculately clean and soft! Furthermore, it supports cell growth, DNA syntheses and protein synthesis all necessary during tissue repair and regeneration. It soothes tension and stress in both body and mind, allowing you to sleep better. According to Mayo Clinic, several studies have looked at using far infrared in the treatment of chronic health problems, such as high blood pressure, congestive heart failure and rheumatoid arthritis, and found some evidence of benefit. Are you convinced yet?

Is far-infrared safe?

Yes! It is completely safe and beneficial to the body. So much so that doctors use them in hospitals to warm premature babies.
