if you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration - Nikola Tesla

What is Sound Therapy?

Sound therapy is a form of sound healing that uses different aspects of sound to improve your emotional and physical well-being.
Healing with sound is believed to date back to ancient Greece, when music was used in an attempt to cure mental disorders. Throughout history, music has been used to boost morale in military troops, help people work faster and more productively, and even ward off evil spirits by chanting. More recently, research has linked music to a number of health benefits, from boosting immune function and lowering stress levels to improving the health of premature babies.

How can Sound Healing Therapy help me?

Sound therapy provokes states of deep relaxing where the healing of emotional pain and scars becomes much easier. Releasing fear and grief, loneliness and depression, cleansing unwanted emotions and finding solutions to emotional issues with others, are all achieved with sound healing. Many physical ailments, aches, pains, muscular and connective tissue problems, mobility problems, post-operative recovery, tinnitus and many more serious chronic diseases can be alleviated by sound therapy.

What is it like?

A sound therapy session is both a passive and participatory experience. The passive aspect is that you become more relaxed by laying down and slowing your breath. By doing this, you prepare yourself to become the receiver of sound. It's in this place of stillness that you participate by becoming more open and aware of each sound that comes in. Sound helps create the pathway to this place of stillness the same as a mantra helps you to arrive at the still point of meditation.

The sound waves from the instruments such as crystal and himalayan singing bowls, chimes, tuning forks and other specially tuned frequencies instruments entrain the brain to move into the deeper Alpha, Theta and Delta brain wave frequencies, inducing a deep meditative and peaceful state. As human beings, we are comprised mainly of liquid, these vibrations deeply penetrate our bodies, moving through our tissues and organs. The sound resonates directly into our cellular memory releasing blockages and creating a profound sense of peace and relaxation.

This is not just an auditory experience—it’s like receiving a full body sound massage! Most people fall into a state of deep relaxation, It’s a pathway to meditation, without knowing how to meditate. The sounds act as the focal point, reducing and eliminating mind chatter, leading to a release of deep rooted tensions and emotional blocks. Many people emerge from the experience feeling lighter, more in balance, refreshed, and rejuvenated.
